DIY Piggy Bank

The title has roughly give you an idea what I'm going to post about today! I shared this previous in my Dayre but I still received message to ask me where I got it and how much. So look out in the post for the details. 

It started off just randomly shopping after our competition at Johor Bahru, so chance upon this DIY booths. And so we decided to get it since we are saving up coins. At the same time we thought it could be part of our display in the future home :X 

 

Captain America was the first we completed. It was a little tricky because of the small details and I wasn't very happy with my own art work. But oh well, it takes time and practice to make it perfect isn't it?

 

 The very next trip to Johor Bahru, we went back to the shop and got another one. This time it was Superman. We are very unsure if this is part of Marvels but whatever it is, I still want to get it :D It took us a little longer than Captain America to finish up as we were both busy with work and training (Lion Dance and Darts). And I completed the remaining alone. 

 

Last week, we went into Johor Bahru for 2D1N as we needed to get the VEP done. ( Please do so if you have yet to do so. For all Singapore Cars entering Malaysia without VEP on 1st October onwards, there will be a fine of 300 ringgit.) This time we got Iron Man because the kiddos at home requested for it.

I would say Iron Man was the easiest to paint out of the 3 we got. It was effortless as per my boyfriend. We used probably an hour plus to complete this and yes, within a day.

Here's some advice. I realised most of the black details part, people would tend to use a black marker instead of painting it. Be extra careful as the darker colour are hard to cover if you paint wrongly. You can try to use a wet wripe/ wet cloth to clean.

Goodbye Dayre

Just recent months, I ditch Blogger for Dayre and now I'm forced to be here using Blogger. If you haven't know about this. Dayre is no longer free. They are charging USD 128 per year (if I remember correctly) if you like to continue using it or even for readers. I'm sorry Dayre, as much as I love using you, I just wouldn't want to pay that amount of money.

Enough said with this.

It's Monday and even though I'm not working, I'm feeling the MONDAY BLUES as well. Why so?  My new job officially starts on Thursday for me but I was given a task to complete while waiting for my license to be approved. And I'm supposed to complete it by now but no, I didn't start any of it. I was busy with my boyfriend's competition last week and was away in Johor Bahru during the weekends. :X

I need to get my ass to do my research. Will update this space with new posts on Johor Bahru 2D1N trip, 25th Annual Lion Dance Competition event and my new DIY piggy bank (I have shared this in Dayre previously but a different character).

The reason why I'm getting fat

Recently there is a new hype about the newly open attraction located just nearby my place, Jewel @ Changi. I couldn't visit it during the soft opening hence went over when it opens on the very first day. It was crowded like mad even though it was a working day (people probably took leave to visit that area). My main motive was to have A&W since it closed down years back in Singapore and finally returns back. But sadly, the queue was insane. So I ended eating elsewhere. 

So the other day, I pestered boyfie to go and he unwillingly queued with me. We queued for roughly 2hours before we got our food. Considering ourselves lucky as the queue was closed shortly after. Even though they mentioned they are opened 24hours but they had to close as they need to do maintenance.  

Warren, Eugene and Weixiang joined us after their training at Flair. Warren, boyfie and I shared around out food so we could taste almost everything on the menu. 

My verdict: 

Fried chicken was so-so , more to the salty side. (KFC BETTER)

Mozza beef burger was nah, nothing special about it even it was the highly recommended on menu.

Chubby chicken burger is highly recommended by me. The chicken was just nice and juicy. 

Waffles with butter and syrup was meh. Probably because they pre-cooked it. 

Overall, I won't bother to queue up again to eat. I would eat if there is craving for it and there is no queue. 

And last week, we tried a new thai restaurant at TaiSeng. It was so-so or maybe my expectation was a little too high? 

We ordered the fried chicken, chaiyen, pineapple fried rice and also minced pork rice. This cost us about $20. We ordered another bowl of tomyam soup after realizing what is having thai cuisine without tomyam.  The portion for soup was pathetic. The chaiyen was diluted. The rest was so-so. Not something I would recommend. I would rather go Golden Mile if I have craving for thai food :X 

I have been eating and posting so much of food that my friends have been asking me... hey, did you stop darting because I see that you post mostly food pictures now. HAHA. 

My boyfie is pampering me too much and always bringing me to settle my cravings <3 More food post to come in the near future. Meanwhile, 2 more days to roadtrip to KL. 

Hello blogger

Hello blogger, I'm back. Just wanted a little space of my own to do self reflection of life, to share whatever good/bad things and also to rant 😅

I used to blog so often when I was still studying  and stopped after I started working. I remember how I used to use those singlish typing post and whenever I read back, I can't help but laugh at it. Can't understand what was I thinking back then but thank God I woke up from those nonsense. 😂

Shall keep this little space of mine updated whenever I can, and want.
